This is Ralph, one of our Sales Support employees. He lives, like many of Legro his colleagues, right here in the Helmond region. Ralph knows the area quite well by Legro now. After working for us for a number of years, he decided to try his luck elsewhere. However, apparently the old nest started itching again, because he has already been back for a while now. And that is of course not something we are unhappy about.

A role within Sales Support is actually very broad. You are the link between customers, representatives, production, planning, and logistics. My workday usually starts with a cup of coffee and opening my inbox. Then it’s mostly a matter of prioritizing: what needs to be done now and what can wait a little longer? For example, an order goes through to request a quote.

For our clients, we are often the first point of contact. Via email, but certainly also by phone. That way, in the morning you never know exactly what your day will look like. There is no fixed guide that you follow from top to bottom. You have to make your own decisions and ensure that things are taken care of. It is this variety that makes it fun.

Legro They are active worldwide and you can really feel that in your daily work. At one moment you are on the phone with your neighbor, and a moment later you are talking to someone on the other side of the world. That makes it very varied. In addition, you are in the middle of the organization from Sales Support. You have contact with customers, but also with all kinds of colleagues to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Sometimes you have to figure things out or switch quickly if something doesn’t go as planned. In fact, you are busy all day long getting things done. That suits me well.

At the end of the day, everything, or almost everything, runs smoothly. I get energy especially from situations where an urgent problem arises and it ultimately succeeds in being solved together. Especially when you then realize that a customer is really happy with what you have been able to provide for them. What also helps is that Legro despite the international nature, the organization is still very flat. You can easily walk in and talk to each other. When something needs to be arranged, we all pull together. That family feeling is still there.
