If someone encounters a technical issue, you will think of solutions and, if necessary, help the mechanic with the vehicle himself.
You regularly coordinate with the transport planning and our drivers. You plan major maintenance in advance. If an emergency arises in the meantime, you and the team decide what is needed to get it done quickly and properly. At Legro we manage the entire production process in-house, giving us control over the whole supply chain from raw material to customer. Every link matters. Your work forms the foundation for the colleague who follows you, which is why you work in a small team with direct communication. Colleagues speak their minds, keep their promises and help each other when the pressure mounts.
The workshop combines planned maintenance and unexpected repairs. You keep an overview of what needs to be done. You coordinate the work with the mechanics, transport planning, and drivers. You plan major maintenance in advance. Does an emergency situation arise in the meantime? Then you assess what is a priority and rearrange the work if necessary. In doing so, you are not just on the sidelines. If mechanics need technical support, you contribute ideas or help out yourself. This ensures that the fleet can be back on the road as quickly as possible.
Legro has been a family business for a hundred years, specialising in growing media and casing soil. Over four generations, we have grown into one of the largest producers of growing media in Europe and beyond. More than 170 colleagues work at our Dutch sites in Helmond, Asten and Cuijk. We are big enough to count on an international scale and compact enough to know each other. The communication channels are short and we tackle things together. Everyone takes responsibility for their own work and for the next link in the chain. This is how we create quality that growers worldwide can rely on.
