At the mixing line, the production process begins. As a Process Operator, you ensure that the correct orders are scheduled, programmed, and produced at the right time. You independently plan production orders, operate the mixing line, and monitor progress. If the schedule changes or a deadline approaches, you step in to make adjustments.
You make substrates that are packaged or transported loose. You regularly coordinate matters with operators in the packaging hall, drivers, and loadermachinists. You also perform minor maintenance on the mixing line and keep your workplace clean and tidy. Your work forms the basis for the next steps in the production process. Do the planning and mixing processes meet expectations? Then your colleagues can proceed with the correct orders.

Here we Legro keep our production in-house. This way we have control over the entire chain, from raw material to customer. Every link matters. Your work is the foundation for the colleague who comes after you. That’s why you work in a small team with short lines. Colleagues tell each other what’s going on, follow through on agreements, and help each other when the pressure mounts.
As a Process Operator, you work at the beginning of the production process. You work independently on the mixing line, but you regularly coordinate with operators, drivers, and loadermachinists throughout the day. If the schedule changes, you look at what is needed and take action. This way, the next colleague knows what is required and production continues.
Legro has been a family business for a hundred years, specialising in growing media and casing soil. Over four generations, we have grown into one of the largest producers of growing media in Europe and beyond. More than 170 colleagues work at our Dutch sites in Helmond, Asten and Cuijk. We are big enough to count on an international scale and compact enough to know each other. The communication channels are short and we tackle things together. Everyone takes responsibility for their own work and for the next link in the chain. This is how we create quality that growers worldwide can rely on.
