00 The role

Knowing what the assignment is, seeing what your work produces.

Location: Helmond
Department:
Production
Hours: 40 hours
Salary: €2,658.26 to €3,894.02 gross per month based on 40 hours

As a loader machinist, you ensure that our mixing, loading, and packaging lines remain filled with the correct raw materials. From your own loader, you mix the raw materials. You then transport these to the appropriate bunkers. In doing so, you follow the production planning and communicate any changes.

You work very independently and keep a close eye on what is happening around you. In the bulk hall, vehicles are driving and colleagues are working simultaneously on different parts of the process. Therefore, working safely and carefully is an important part of your job. You know your loader well and understand how the controls and technical systems work. This ensures that you can start work safely and reliably every day. This keeps the production running smoothly.

00 / Your contribution to the mix

  • Processing raw materials

You mix the raw materials and make sure they end up in the right bunkers.

  • Follow production planning

You work according to the production schedule and report any changes in time.

  • Technical insight

You know the operation, operation and technical systems of the loader you are working with.

  • Working safely and carefully

During your work, you take into account colleagues, vehicles, and everything that happens in the bulk hall.

00 / Expectations

  1. This is how you work at Legro

At Legro we manage the entire production process in-house, giving us control over the whole supply chain from raw material to customer. Every link matters. Your work forms the foundation for the colleague who follows you, which is why you work in a small team with direct communication. Colleagues speak their minds, keep their promises and help each other when the pressure mounts.

As a loadermachinist, you work in the bulk warehouse at our location in Helmond. The team is small and everyone has their own responsibilities. Much of your work is carried out independently by yourself as a loader. At the same time, your work is part of the same production process as that of your colleagues. Therefore, you coordinate when necessary and take into account what is happening around you. The atmosphere is sober and direct. Everyone knows what needs to be done and takes on their own part of the work.

  2. You bring this with you
    • Technical insight: You have affinity with large earthmoving machines.
    • Independence: You see what needs to be done. You also quickly take action if the planning or process deviates from the plan.
    • Good communication: You work very independently, but quickly switch with colleagues when necessary.
    • Can-do attitude: You see work being done. You also ensure that it is completed well and efficiently.
    • Flexibility: You are willing to work in shifts.
  3. This is what you get from Legro
    • Salary: a gross monthly salary within the function scale of € 2,658.26 to € 3,894.02 based on 40 hours. Depending on knowledge and experience.
    • Free time: 24 days of annual leave and 3.5 ADV days, supplemented by any age-related leave days where applicable.
    • Travel expense allowance: €0.25 per kilometer. Yes, even from the first kilometers.
    • Development: opportunities for internal training as a loadermachinist.
    • A loader: You drive a loader for the company for which you are personally responsible.
    • Great colleagues: You work in a small team where colleagues help each other and there is room for a joke.

00 / Over Legro

  1. Legro has been a family business for a hundred years, specialising in growing media and casing soil. Over four generations, we have grown into one of the largest producers of growing media in Europe and beyond. More than 170 colleagues work at our Dutch sites in Helmond, Asten and Cuijk. We are big enough to count on an international scale and compact enough to know each other. The communication channels are short and we tackle things together. Everyone takes responsibility for their own work and for the next link in the chain. This is how we create quality that growers worldwide can rely on.
