00 The role

You keep the plan on track, even if the day goes differently.

Location: Helmond
Department:
Transport planning
Hours: 40 hours
Salary: €2,658.26 to €4,874.31 gross per month based on 40 hours

As a Transport Planner, you ensure that our trucks set off on their routes according to a well-planned schedule. This ensures that our products reach the customer on time. You plan routes, maintain contact with drivers and regular charters, and ensure that the correct shipping documents are ready. If things go wrong during the day, you can quickly take action.

You process changes, keep the relevant colleagues informed, and ensure that the schedule remains on track. In doing so, you also use the knowledge of our drivers. They know what is happening on the road and with customers. You work together with the other transport planners. Within the team, everyone has their own part of the planning. Additionally, you run a 24/7 availability service for drivers about once a month.

00 / Your contribution to the mix

  • Plan your rides

You create the schedules for our drivers and ensure that the trucks are used as effectively as possible.

  • Running the Accessibility Service

About once a month, you are available 24/7 for drivers. You alternate this with your fellow planners.

  • Staying in touch with drivers

You communicate with drivers about the schedule and quickly make changes on the go.

  • Addressing changes

Does something change in the planning or the process? Then you process this and keep the involved colleagues informed.

00 / Expectations

  1. This is how you work at Legro

At Legro we manage the entire production process in-house, giving us control over the whole supply chain from raw material to customer. Every link matters. Your work forms the foundation for the colleague who follows you, which is why you work in a small team with direct communication. Colleagues speak their minds, keep their promises and help each other when the pressure mounts.

You work closely with the other transport planners and our drivers. Within the department, each planner has their own part of the planning. Yet you coordinate among yourselves to get the whole thing done. The drivers also play an important role in this. They are on the road, know the routes, and know how things are with customers. You take that information into your planning. Does something change along the way? Then you contact the driver and your colleagues to get the planning back on track. At the end of the week, you like to close the week together.

00 / Over Legro

  1. Legro has been a family business for a hundred years, specialising in growing media and casing soil. Over four generations, we have grown into one of the largest producers of growing media in Europe and beyond. More than 170 colleagues work at our Dutch sites in Helmond, Asten and Cuijk. We are big enough to count on an international scale and compact enough to know each other. The communication channels are short and we tackle things together. Everyone takes responsibility for their own work and for the next link in the chain. This is how we create quality that growers worldwide can rely on.
