Dry casing soils for export

Our specialists

Topterra casing soils are also available for export. By processing them to lower their moisture content, we minimise logistics costs, but we can only dry the product to a certain point. This is because if too much moisture is removed from fresh peat, it loses its unique properties and will no longer be able to absorb as much water. This would have a major impact on the quality of the casing soil.

The proper pre-treatment – pre-wetting – is crucial. This process maximises the water retention capacity of the casing soil. We help you ensure your Topterra casing soil yields a perfect product for use on your beds by pre-wetting it and by providing clearly written manuals. We can also send one of our product specialists out to your location if necessary. This way, you’re assured of a casing soil that provides you with the right water buffer and structure for getting the best possible results from your mushroom crop. BULK DELIVERY

The most efficient (and least expensive) solution for nearby locations is bulk delivery. As we manage our own transport, we can meet your delivery deadlines with maximum reliability. he process is simple. You let us know just once where you want us to deliver and any details we should know about. We do the rest. We always call before we arrive so that you know when to expect our lorry. Should anything unexpected occur, simply call our team at Sales Support.

BIG BALES

Packing products in big bales is an efficient solution. Not only are big bales practical for use at your location but they are also an efficient way of loading a lorry or container. The substrate is first compacted and then wrapped in film to make a big bale. Depending on the kind of product, a big bale can contain up to 6 m3 of substrate. A container for European transport can hold 26 big bales, and an intercontinental container can hold 22. In this video our team member Franc explains the best way to open a big bale. Could big bales be right for you? Call us to find out.

BIG BAGS

Big bags have an advantage: the substrate is not compressed, so its structure and the other properties of its raw materials are retained. . We supply big bags in two sizes: 1 m3 and 2 m3. At your request, we will cover them for storage purposes and to protect them from wind and rain during transport. If you need more information, please don’t hesitate to call us.

GROWBAGS

For certain crops such as strawberries on tabletop frames, dianthus, roses, etc., we supply practical growbags. These are bags of substrate available in a range of lengths and perforated with planting holes according to your specifications. We also supply growpots containing ready-to-use bags for transplanting cucumber plants, etc. We will also create a specific substrate based on your preferences. After all, this is our speciality. If you need any more information about growbags, please contact one of our strawberry experts. They can answer all your questions and will help you decide whether growbags would make your job easier.

Mini bales

If a big bale is too big for your situation, the mini bale could be just right. Like its larger counterpart, its dimensions are designed for efficient loading in lorries and containers. For mini bales, a substrate is compacted into volumes of 100, 150 or 200 litres. Before use, you will have to add the necessary air to the blend yourself.
